Saudi social insurance subscribers down to 8.15 mln in Q3 2021: GOSI

Saudi Arabia’s General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) said that a total of 8.15 million private sector employees were registered in the social insurance scheme by the end of Q3 2021, a decline of 0.4%, compared to 8.19 million in Q2 2021.

 

Insured citizens, who account for 26.2% of the total private sector subscribers, increased by 69,800 clients to 2.13 million in Q3 2021 compared to the previous quarter.

 

The number of insured expatriate workers decreased by 104,300 quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 6.02 million in the third quarter. They account for 73.8% of the Kingdom’s total private sector subscribers.

The services sector accounted for 42.4% of the total subscribers in Q3 with more than 3.45 million employees, followed by the basic assisting engineering professions sector that represented 23.6%, or 1.92 million workers.
